This postcard arrived as a delightful surprise on my birthday, making it feel like an unexpected gift from a fellow postcrosser. It came all the way from China, sent by Ilolo, and it truly brightened my day.

I was intrigued by the mention of "Yellow Earth" on the postcard, so I decided to look it up. However, my search led me to a movie, leaving me uncertain if it's a landmark or a behind-the-scenes shot from a film. Nonetheless, the mystery adds to the charm of this wonderful postcard.

The Cotton State

Sent by Carla, the postcard showcases a detailed map of Alabama, highlighting its fascinating landmarks and sights to see. Alabama is famously known as the Cotton State, and it's also referred to as the Yellowhammer State and the Heart of Dixie. In her message, Carla mentioned that they are currently gearing up for Thanksgiving celebrations.

I was delighted to receive two exquisite nature postcards, my first from both Taiwan and Australia. The stunning landscapes depicted on the cards truly captured the beauty of these countries.



Kinmen Kuningtou Cliff
 The cliff is situated on the tip of the west-northern coast of Kinmen. It has been the scene of the Kunington battlefield in 1949

Sent by Jubie from Taipei, who shares the same love for purple :). She mentioned not having a purple postcard, but this one is somewhat purple too. Another lovely addition to my collection of purple cards.

I'm delighted to receive my first postcard from Switzerland, which was sent by Anabela. 

Showing Chateau de Gorgier, a picturesque castle nestled amidst the Swiss landscape. The stunning architecture and serene surroundings make it a perfect postcard-worthy sight. It's delightful to receive such beautiful glimpses of places around the world through postcrossing!
